Indiana State University is proud to announce that the Scott College of Business has earned an extension of its accreditation from AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This recognition affirms the college’s commitment to delivering a world-class business education and highlights the exceptional efforts of its faculty, staff, students, and partners.

Widely regarded as the highest achievement within business education, AACSB is earned by fewer than six percent of the world’s business schools. Accreditation standards are designed to ensure that students receive a relevant and impactful education that prepares graduates with the skills and knowledge for career success. The extension was confirmed by AACSB’s Board of Directors following a comprehensive Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) process.

Indiana State’s business programs first earned the recognition in 1980 and have continuously maintained accreditation for more than 40 years. “This is wonderful news for Indiana State University,” said Dr. Terry Daugherty, Dean of the Scott College of Business. “The extension of our AACSB accreditation reflects the unwavering dedication and passion of our faculty, staff, students, and corporate partners. Over the course of this review cycle, we have supported more than 1,200 students in completing their business degrees—who are now better prepared to lead and succeed in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.”

“This achievement speaks volumes about the quality of the academic programs and the outstanding work being done by the Scott College of Business,” said Dr. Christopher Olsen, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Indiana State University. “The reaffirmation of AACSB accreditation reinforces our mission to provide students with a transformative education that prepares them for leadership in business and beyond.”
