Scott College of Business

Nearly 400 participants gathered October 9–10 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, for Indiana State University’s Student Managed Investment Fund Consortium (SMIFC) Conference. The SMIFC is a community of 215 universities with a shared vision for student success and leadership in investment management and business education. The 2025 event brought together more than 64 consortium members for experiential learning, industry engagement, and professional development.

Indiana State University alumna and faculty member Jennifer Mullen has pledged $30,000 to create an endowed scholarship for students in the Scott College of Business who have received limited financial support but remain committed to pursuing degree completion. 

Jennifer Mullen has earned two degrees from Indiana State, a bachelor’s degree in management information systems in 2001 and a master’s degree in communication in 2011. After graduating, Mullen worked in sales management before returning to the University to work in Admissions. 

Indiana State University is proud to announce that the Scott College of Business has earned an extension of its accreditation from AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This recognition affirms the college’s commitment to delivering a world-class business education and highlights the exceptional efforts of its faculty, staff, students, and partners.

Darwin McCallian, a 1975 alumnus of the College of Arts and Sciences, has stepped up during the Be So BOLD fundraising campaign to support Sycamores for years to come.

The Scott College of Business at Indiana State University is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company recently named ISU's MBA program to its list of Best Business Schools for 2023.

Indiana State University has received a $1 million gift to establish an endowed professorship in the Scott College of Business.
