Dr. William Wilhelm, professor in the Scott College of Business at Indiana State University, received the Association for Research in Business Education - Delta Pi Epsilon Independent Research Award for 2014.
Wilhelm\'s research article, \"Financial Decision Making: A Study of Board Room Decision-Making Dynamics,\" was published in the peer-reviewed Delta Pi Epsilon Journal in 2012 and was chosen as the most valuable research contribution to business education for the 2013-14 academic year. The award was presented at the ARBE - DPE National Research Conference in Los Angeles on April 16.
Wilhelm\'s research in the area of ethical decision making in business has twice before been singled out for this prestigious award. He received the first Independent Research Award in 2000 and again in 2008.
\"I am honored to have been recognized by my colleagues in the Association for Research in Business Education - Delta Pi Epsilon and to receive this important award. My research over the years in the area of ethical decision making I believe is valuable to all disciplines in business and to business people everywhere,\" he said. \"I am passionate about ethical behavior in business and how business professors can effectively teach ethical reasoning to their students. Research in this area will always be important.\"
