ISU presidential finalist David Belcher visits campus

David Belcher, one of three finalists in the search for Indiana State University's 11th president, will visit campus Tuesday and Wednesday (June 3-4). Belcher is currently provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

David Belcher, one of three finalists in the search for Indiana State University's 11th president, will visit campus Tuesday and Wednesday (June 3-4).

Belcher is currently provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a position he has held since since 2003. He previously served as a dean and assistant dean at Missouri State University, where he also was a music professor and coordinator of keyboard studies in the music department. He holds a doctoral degree from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree from Furman University in Greenville, S.C. He has also completed training at Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management.

Finalist David Belcher visit the ISU campus June 3-4 while Thomas "Tim" Hynes' visit is scheduled for June 9-10. Details of Hynes' visits will be released later.
