Spring Senior Exhibitions on display April 27-May 5

The Indiana State University Art department's Spring Senior Exhibitions will be on display April 27-May 5. The BFA exhibition will be presented in the University Art Gallery and the BS/BA Exhibition will be held in the Turman Art Gallery. Both exhibits celebrate the graduating seniors' undergraduate work at Indiana State.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State University Art department’s Spring Senior Exhibitions will be on display April 27-May 5. The BFA exhibition will be presented in the University Art Gallery and the BS/BA Exhibition will be held in the Turman Art Gallery. Both exhibits celebrate the graduating seniors’ undergraduate work at Indiana State.

The Spring BFA Senior Exhibition will feature the work of Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates Amber Backherms, photography; John Bergin, graphic design; Steven T. Bekkering, ceramics; Mikki L. Blackford, graphic design; Kevin A. Kehoe, photography and art history; George Taylor Lehman, graphic design; Megan McNellis, painting; Brent A. Pullman; photography; Valerie Thomas, painting; Laura Wallace, graphic design; and Amanda White, photography and art history.

The Spring BS/BA Senior Exhibition will feature the work of Bachelor of Science candidates Todd Decker, graphic design; Jenna Edwards, graphic design; Laura Engle, graphic design; Chelsea Linder, graphic design; Chris Schackman, graphic design; Natalie Stark, graphic design; Courtney A. White, graphic design; Kaleena L. Reed, painting; Aaron Burke Reid, interdisciplinary; Joshua D. Sluder, interdisciplinary; Abbey Blakeslee, art education; and Addie Smith, art education. Works by Bachelor of Arts candidates Amber Skaza and Sara Kovacs will also be featured.

The University Art Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. The Turman Art Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from noon - 4 p.m., and by appointment. Both exhibits will also be open prior to ISU Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 5 from noon-2 p.m.

Both facilities are wheelchair accessible. The University Art Gallery is located in the Center for Performing and Fine Arts at the corner of Chestnut and Seventh streets. The Turman Art Gallery is located in the Fine Arts Building on Chestnut Street. For additional information call (812) 237-3720.
