Two evenings of play readings will showcase the work of Indiana State University playwrights at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 and 30, presented by theater Professor Arthur Feinsod.
The Nov. 29 performance will be on campus at the newly renovated New Theater, 536 N. 7th St. Plays include "Americano" by Kaitie Moore of Boonville, Ind., "Disconnection" by Chaianne Cannon of Lafayette, Ind., "Burning Truth" by Emily Koller of Elkhart, Ind., "Crash of Dawn" by George Pfister, and "At the Edge of the Woods" by Angie Casile of Terre Haute.
The Nov. 30 performance will be at the Swope Art Museum on the corner of 7th Street and Ohio Avenue. For this evening, Feinsod's student playwrights will be prompted by specific works in the Swope's collection, and these works will inspire and inform the plays which are performed. Plays include "Patrem Carnivora" by Casile, "Good-bye, Dolly" by Moore, "Mom's Tree" by Cannon, "13th Rule" by Koller and "Artsy Ladies" by Pfister.
Admission to both events is free. Donations to the Swope are appreciated.
