'A Charlie Brown Christmas' plays Dec. 5

Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they search for the meaning of Christmas in "A Charlie Brown Christmas, Live On Stage!"

A part of the ISU Performing Arts Series and sponsored by the Terre Haute Savings Bank, the show will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 in Tirey Hall's Tilson Auditorium.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas, Live On Stage!" is a fresh take on the timeless classic that gives the audience a completely new way of experiencing the storyline as portrayed by real actors who maintain the integrity and spirit of each Peanuts character.

The production, sponsored by Duke Energy, encompasses each of your favorite scenes from the original animated television show, and expands the story into greater detail with more fun, more music and more Christmas spirit. Join us as we celebrate the season with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the Peanuts gang.

There will be a special pre-event for ticket holders before the show beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Heritage Ballroom and Lounge. There will be pictures with Santa, the Terre Haute North Vigo High School Counterpoints Choir will sing carols, refreshments will be available and a Toys for Tots drive will take place.

Tickets for "A Charlie Brown Christmas" are on sale now. Adult tickets are $27-$29, ISU faculty and staff tickets are $24-$26 and youth tickets (ages 2-12) are $5. ISU students are admitted for free with a valid student ID.
