Indiana State University today announced that Follett Higher Education Group has been selected as the University’s new campus retail partner, ushering in a refreshed, student-centered approach to bookstore and retail services beginning in March 2026.
Follett, a national leader in higher education retail and course material delivery, will operate the on-campus bookstore as well as Indiana State’s online shop, offering an expanded selection of Sycamore apparel, spirit gear, academic resources, technology, and convenience items. The partnership also introduces enhanced affordability options for students, including Follett’s robust textbook rental program, price-matching policies, and expanded access programs.
“Follett’s commitment to innovation, service, and student affordability aligns perfectly with Indiana State’s mission,” said Indiana State University President Mike Godard. “We are excited to bring an elevated retail experience to campus—one that offers greater value, more choices, and a stronger connection to Sycamore pride.”
Under the new partnership, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors can expect updated in-store merchandising, expanded online shopping capabilities, and improved technology to streamline ordering and pickup. Follett will also collaborate closely with academic units to ensure efficient delivery of textbooks and digital materials.
“We are honored to partner with Indiana State University in support of student success and Sycamore pride, said Emmanuel Kolady, CEO of Follett Higher Education. “We look forward to bringing the store back on campus, improving day-one access to course materials, and expanding the merchandise assortment so every member of the ISU community has more ways to celebrate their school.”
Follett will be taking over at the current bookstore located at 25 N. Fourth Street in Terre Haute adjacent to the Indiana State University campus while the more permanent location in the Hulman Memorial Student Union Commons is being constructed. The new Commons bookstore is expected to be fully operation by Spring 2027.
