The one-night, large-scale outdoor digital art event will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at the courtyard area by the old College of Nursing building and University Hall.

Media Realization Center at Indiana State University will present "Digital Art Student Exhibition Fall 2018: Mythologies", a one-night-only, large-scale projection exhibition 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.

The event will be held in the courtyard area between the College of Nursing and University Hall at the intersection of Seventh Street and 749 Chestnut St. in Terre Haute.

The exhibited works, inspired by Roland Barthes' Mythologies, are by current digital art students from the department of art and design at Indiana State. A wide array of exciting works ranging from augmented reality, virtual reality, digital animation, video, sound, interactive installation and large scale outdoor projection mapping will be presented. The exhibit will feature the emerging talents of undergraduate and graduate visual art students enrolled in the intermediate and advanced digital art classes, taught by Sala Wong.

The participating student artists are: Alexis Fortman, Alison Geatches, Zhengyun Guo, Paige Kimbrew, Wyatt Lawson, Natalee Link, Lana Majstorovic, Pilias Maloba, Saphire Massey, Bailey McWilliams, Sam T. Morlan, Elizabeth Myers, Kevin Naylor, Clarissa Rawlings, David Reed, Grant Sailes, Nikki Swanson and JoNiah Tyson. In addition to the Barthes-inspired works, the introductory-level digital art students will present their projects in sound, digital imaging and animation. Students from the introduction to digital art class are: Sarah Ahmer, Lauren Branson, Jeffrey Brickey, Alondra Fernandez, Madison Fortune, Hannah Hughes, Kim Jackson, Kimberly Kaho, Quentin Lacey-Blackwell, James Neier, Bailey Nickle, Allison Reckelhoff, April Vore, Josephine Whitaker, Owen Alexander Williams, Tessa Williams and William Williams.

The artists will be present at the opening reception on Nov. 1. Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public. For additional information, call 812-237-3720.
